Deskripsi Buku : Stunting dan karies gigi pada anak merupakan masalah yang dapat saling memperberat melalui jalur biologis, perilaku, dan sosial. Malnutrisi kronis berpotensi memengaruhi perkembangan email, sekresi serta kapasitas buffer saliva, erupsi gigi, dan respons imun. Di sisi lain, karies yang berat dapat menimbulkan nyeri, gangguan tidur, kesulitan mengunyah, penurunan asupan, serta inflamasi kronis. Karena itu, pencegahan karies pada anak stunting perlu ditempatkan sebagai bagian dari pelayanan kesehatan anak terpadu, bukan sebagai terapi untuk stunting itu sendiri [1-8]. Penyusunan buku ini berangkat dari kebutuhan akan strategi pencegahan karies yang tidak hanya berorientasi pada pengendalian biofilm, tetapi juga mempertahankan keseimbangan mineral email. CPP-ACP dipilih sebagai sumber kalsium dan fosfat bioavailable, sedangkan daun jambu biji dan stroberi dikaji sebagai sumber senyawa bioaktif. Kombinasi tersebut kemudian diformulasikan menjadi sediaan semisolid dan dinilai melalui parameter organoleptik, homogenitas, pH, viskositas, daya sebar, serta daya lekat.
