Buku ini berupaya menyajikan statistika inferensia dengan pendekatan yang lebih kontekstual melalui berbagai contoh dan kasus yang dekat dengan penelitian pendidikan. Pembahasan diarahkan agar pembaca tidak hanya memahami “bagaimana menghitung”, tetapi juga “mengapa suatu analisis digunakan, kapan digunakan, bagaimana melakukannya, dan bagaimana menginterpretasikan hasilnya.” Dengan demikian, statistika diharapkan tidak lagi dipandang sebagai kumpulan rumus yang sulit, melainkan sebagai alat untuk memahami fenomena pendidikan berdasarkan data.
