Deskripsi Buku   :  Alhamdulillah, thanks Allah SWT for His blessing and abundance of Grace and Guidance that I could complete this book. I realize I can do nothing without His blessing. Vocabulary is a key component of literacy instruction which is defined as the understanding of words including their morphology, grammar, meanings, and connections to other words (word/semantic relationships). Basic Vocabulary Building is a course book designed to provide English Language students with knowledge of how English words are formed and how they are used contextually. There are three chapters of this book. Chapter one consists of English parts of speech. The topics of the chapter cover verb, noun, article, pronoun, adjective, adverb, numeral, preposition, and conjunction. Chapter two discusses English word formation that is how English words are formed. Chapter three is about English word meaning. The dimension of meaning and figurative languages are discussed here. Each chapter also provides some tasks to facilitate students to have practice on the concepts given. The writer hopes that this book contributes to the teaching of English vocabulary. Then, the writer does thank all English Language Education students of class K1 of Universitas Maritim Raja Ali Haji in academic year 2022/ 2023 for immeasurable support during the process of completing this book. Last but not least, the writer would like to dedicate this book to her beloved son and daughter, Muhamad Hassan Ghani and Layyana Monefa, who have driven the writer to write this book.
